HISTORY

MARLUX since 1875

Back in 1875, in the 11th district of Paris, François Delfolie owned a small factory of metallic pieces: candle drip-trays, piano extensible brackets, coffee filters and a short line of pepper mills.

Histoire

In 1901, Antonin Boiron took over the business at the same place and manufactured the same products. Pepper mills were manufactured in copper and mechanisms in zamac : alloy of zinc, aluminium, magnesium and copper.

André Vincq, a young engineer, bought the Boiron Company in 1937 and became MARLUX in 1938, as my grand-mother Marcelle's dowry was quite helpful to the project.

The company manufactured pepper mills in copper, in wood; coffee filters; tea balls ; trivets and of course candle drip-trays ...

In 1973, Michèle Lenfant, André Vincq's daughter, took control of the management.

Highly motivated to ensure the continuity, Michèle Lenfant and her both daughters managed the company until 2016.

The company De Buyer Industries, French manufacturer of high-quality kitchen utensils, acquired Marlux in 2016 to complete its field of activities. Both are reputed French companies sharing the same values of know-how, top-end production and also the same business goals in France and abroad.
